Overview
This policy explains what information AppTank collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only.
AppTank has not yet published any mobile applications. When we do, each application may have its own separate privacy policy covering data handled inside that app. Those policies will be linked from the relevant app page on this site.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. We do not require an account, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Specifically, we collect:
- Newsletter signups: your email address.
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, chosen subject and message.
- Standard server logs: our hosting provider records technical request data such as IP address, browser user agent and requested URL, for security and reliability purposes.
Newsletter information
If you submit your email address to receive launch updates, we use it only to send occasional emails about AppTank products, beta programmes and launches.
We do not sell, rent or share your email address. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing privacy@apptank.net.
Contact form information
Information you submit through the contact form is used solely to read and respond to your message. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is useful for that conversation or for our records of it.
Please do not send sensitive personal information, passwords or payment details through the contact form.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for tracking, advertising or profiling. As currently deployed, it sets no cookies at all.
If cookies are introduced in future — for example to remember a preference — this section will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested before they are set.
Analytics
As currently deployed, this website loads no analytics or third-party tracking scripts.
If we add analytics later, we will choose a privacy-respecting provider, name it in this section, and describe what it measures before enabling it.
Third-party services
We use a small number of service providers to operate this site. Where a provider processes information on our behalf, it is bound to use that information only to provide its service to us:
- Hosting and content delivery, which processes standard server log data.
- An email delivery provider, which processes the contents of contact form submissions and newsletter signups in order to deliver them.
Data retention
We keep newsletter email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
We keep contact form correspondence for as long as it is relevant to your enquiry, and then delete it.
Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.
Data security
This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and processed on the server, and credentials for our email provider are stored as server-side environment variables that are never exposed to the browser.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we aim to collect as little personal information as possible so that there is little to expose.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it.
To make a request, email privacy@apptank.net. We will respond within the time limits that apply to us under the relevant law.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@apptank.net and we will delete it.
App-specific privacy policies
Individual AppTank applications may collect different information than this website does. Each published application will have its own privacy policy, which will govern data handled inside that application.
Links to those policies will be listed here and on each app's page as applications are released. There are none yet, because no AppTank application has been published.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the company and its products develop. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
If a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly.
